The Cal-Royal 2260V Series is a Grade 1 surface vertical rod exit device for commercial metal or wood doors. Its ANSI Function 01 exit-only configuration provides exit operation, with compatible outside trim sold separately when exterior access is needed.

For replacement projects, the series lists retrofit compatibility with Sargent 12-2828 and 12-2838 Series hardware. Check the existing door preparation, dimensions, and trim requirements before selecting a replacement.

The series specifications list UL panic approval and references to UL10C and UBC 7-2-1997. Fire-exit configurations have a listed 3-hour rating, including an (A) label rating on pairs of doors up to 8 feet by 8 feet swinging in the same or opposite directions. Fire ratings apply to the appropriate fire-exit configuration and door assembly.

Trim selection and ordering

Series trim options include Grade 1 lever and escutcheon construction, clutch operation on rose trims, and rigid escutcheon trims that cover a 161 cutout. Match the outside operation to your access requirements and verify compatibility with this surface vertical rod device.
