Cal-Royal SG Challenger Standard-Duty Cylindrical Leverset

The Cal-Royal SG Challenger Grade 2 cylindrical leverset offers standard-duty door hardware for offices, schools, hospitals, apartments, hotels, motels, and other public buildings. Individual springs on each side help prevent lever sag and reduce maintenance.

Functions:

Passage: The latchbolt is operated by the lever from either side at all times.
Privacy: The inside push button locks the outside lever. An exterior emergency release unlocks it; turning the inside lever or closing the door releases the push button.
Entrance: Push-button or turn/push-button locking. Pushing the button locks the outside lever until a key is used or the inside lever is turned. Pushing and turning the button keeps the outside lever locked until the button is manually unlocked.
Classroom: The outside lever can be locked or unlocked by key. The inside lever operates the latchbolt even when the outside lever is locked.
Storeroom: The outside lever remains fixed; entry requires a key. The inside lever operates the latchbolt.
Dummy: Single-sided, pull-only trim with no latching function.

Construction and door preparation:

Door thickness: 1⅜ to 2 inches.
Backset: 2¾ inches standard; 2⅜-, 3¾-, and 5-inch backsets are optional. Confirm availability for your selected configuration.
Latchbolt: Solid brass with a ½-inch throw, reversible for right- or left-hand applications; UL listed.
Latch faceplate: 2¼ × 1 inch, square corner, with a ⅛-inch plastic filler for 1⅛-inch width.
Strike specification: 2¼ × 1-inch faceplate and T-strike. Confirm the included strike for your configuration.
Keying: Keyed functions use a 6-pin C-keyway cylinder with two keys per lock.
Trim: Wrought brass, bronze, or stainless steel; zinc-cast levers plated to match the trim finish.
Bore diameters: 1 inch for the latch and 2⅛ inches for the lock housing.

BHMA certified Grade 2; meets or exceeds BHMA/ANSI A156.2 Series 4000 requirements (FF-H 106C), with 400,000 cycles specified.
