Designed mainly for retrofit work, and are applied to the exposed surfaces of the door and frame. 

Special hinge reinforcements are not required. Hollow metal door and frame manufacturer's standard is acceptable. Removal of hinge reinforcements in the door and frame is not advised. 

• Weight-bearing (per BHMA standard ANSI/BHMA A156.26-2006) for standard models: 83″ = 14 bearings, door weight = 280 lbs
• 10 fasteners required for each leaf
• Standard duty hinge: 6" bearing spacing
• Width: 1 1/4” (frame side – leaf)

  • Certified up to a 3-Hour A-Label fire listing for all 4' 0" x 10' 0" (single) and 8' 0" x 10' 0" (pair) door and frame assemblies. Special FirePins required on 3-hour (A-label) assemblies.
  • Fire listing certifications apply to all approved hollow metal and wood door assemblies in drywall on masonry construction
• Some door and frame conditions may require an extra 1/32" - 1/16" of clearance. Excessive clearance on fire-rated assemblies may violate the requirements for NFPA 80
